Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026

These terms apply when you use the Yalla mobile app and related services. By creating an account or using Yalla, you agree to them.

Using Yalla

Yalla provides technology that helps people coordinate shared trips. Drivers post trips and riders request to join them. You are responsible for giving accurate account and trip information and for using Yalla in line with applicable laws and these terms.

Accounts

You sign in with a phone number or email address and a one-time verification code. You are responsible for keeping control of your account and for activity carried out through it. Keep your information accurate and up to date.

Drivers and riders

Drivers are responsible for meeting the requirements that apply to driving, licensing, operating a vehicle and insurance, and for submitting accurate verification information. Riders and drivers are each responsible for their own conduct when they interact through Yalla.

Trips and ride coordination

Trip availability, routes, timing, meeting points and ride requests can change. Review the trip details before you take part. During an active trip, the driver's live position is shared with the riders booked on that trip, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payments

Payments are not currently available in Yalla. The app does not charge riders or pay drivers. If payment features are introduced, the relevant prices, fees and cancellation and refund terms will be shown before you use them, and these terms will be updated.

Cancellations

You can cancel a booking or trip from the app. What happens when you cancel can depend on the status and timing of the trip, and the app shows the relevant information at the time. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect how you are matched with others.

Safety

Use good judgment when you take part in shared trips and when you interact with other users. Yalla provides features intended to support trip coordination and safety, such as ratings, reporting and the Safety Center, but they do not remove the risks of travel or of interacting with other people. Yalla is not an emergency service; in an emergency, contact your local emergency number.

Prohibited conduct

Do not misuse Yalla. This includes interfering with how it works, trying to get unauthorized access, using it for unlawful activity, giving false information, harassing other users, or abusing account or verification features.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access to Yalla where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, keep the service secure, or meet legal requirements.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Profile screen in the app. Some records are kept after deletion for other people's trip history, safety, dispute resolution, security and legal or financial purposes, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy

How Yalla handles personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Yalla and its services change. The date at the top shows when they were last revised.
